Whether you want to alter clothes or create new ones, hems are essential! In this 2 hour class, we will talk about how to prepare before shortening the length, and practice various ways to apply a new hem. Bring a garment that needs a hem or plan to practice on fabric that we provide at the studio.

About the instructor:
My name is Megan and I have been teaching sewing for over 3 years. Equipped with a love of sewing, a bachelor's degree in apparel design, and years of experience as a professional sewist, I will walk you through the basics of sewing and be there to answer your questions and give feedback.
What to bring:
Feel free to bring pants or a skirt that needs to be hemmed.
Parking and finding the space:
There is plenty of street parking on Hawthorne or nearby on 154th or 156th street. Expect 10 min to park and walk. The building is the tallest one on the block one that looks like a castle. You can use the elevator to get to the 2nd floor where we are located.
